How we isolate the source
Pressure test, then dye if needed, then paper-towel isolation of every internal joint. On a Worcester Greenstar the AAV, PRV and pump seal are the top three; on a Vaillant it's usually the pump union or the plate heat exchanger.

- Should I turn the boiler off?
- Yes if the leak is active — isolate the water via the filling loop and turn the boiler off at the fused spur. Then call us.
- Are heat-exchanger leaks fatal?
- On some models yes — an economic write-off. On Worcester 30CDi and similar, a new exchanger is worth doing if the boiler is under 8 years old.
- Can it wait a couple of days?
- A drip can. A trickle onto electrics can't — that's a same-day job.
