Keeping your boiler warranty valid
A ten-year guarantee is only worth what its conditions allow. Every manufacturer requires an annual service by a competent engineer, recorded properly, and most require system protection to have been fitted at install.
For: Owners of boilers under guarantee

The conditions people fall foul of
The three most common are a missed annual service, no system filter or inhibitor at installation, and an unregistered guarantee. The last one catches people out most — if the installer never registered it, the clock may have started at the shorter default period without the owner knowing.
How we keep yours intact
- Guarantee registered with the manufacturer on install day
- Benchmark record completed and left with you
- Annual service reminders so cover doesn't lapse by accident
- Warranty claims raised on your behalf when a covered part fails
Frequently asked
- Can I service it myself or use anyone?
- It must be a competent registered engineer — Gas Safe for gas, OFTEC for oil — with the service recorded.
- I missed a year. Is the guarantee gone?
- Often it can be reinstated after a full service, depending on the manufacturer. It's worth asking rather than assuming.
- Do you service boilers you didn't install?
- Yes, routinely, and we'll complete the records the manufacturer needs.
