Oil boiler relocation — external to internal (or vice versa)
Boilers often end up in the wrong place after extensions, kitchen refurbs or family changes. Moving an oil boiler is bigger than moving a gas one — you're relocating the flue, the oil line, and often a Tigerloop.

The two most common relocation jobs
Boot-room to external, to reclaim the boot-room for the family, and outbuilding to internal utility, to reduce heat losses and simplify servicing. Both are common; each has its OFTEC checklist.

- Can I move the boiler and keep the same tank?
- Yes — the tank stays put and the oil-line reaches to the new boiler position. We rework the line professionally.
- Does it need a new boiler?
- Only if the existing one is out of warranty and past its life. Otherwise it's a straight relocation.
- How long does it take?
- Two working days for most relocations. Occasionally longer if the internal-to-external move involves masonry coring.
