- Can one thermostat control both?
- Not well. Best-practice is a UFH programmable thermostat per zone and a smart room stat for the radiator side, both on the same schedule.
- Do I need a heat pump instead?
- UFH is heat-pump ready. If you're within 5–7 years of that upgrade, size pipework and emitters now to save later work.
- How disruptive is the install?
- For an existing system with UFH already in the slab, it's a single-day integration job. New UFH is a much bigger build project.
