Condensing efficiency checks: the short technical version

If the system is run with high flow temperatures and a poorly balanced return, the boiler can spend much of its time firing above the condensing threshold, quietly losing the efficiency advantage it was bought for. During a service the engineer can measure flow and return temperatures and check whether controls, radiator sizing and flow settings are allowing the appliance to condense as intended, rather than simply confirming it lights and runs.
